Zuchu is a Tanzanian singer and songwriter who was born on November 22, 1993. She is the daughter of the legendary Taarab singer, Khadija Kopa. Zuchu began her music career in 2015 when she auditioned for Tanzania's biggest music talent show, Bongo Star Search.
In April 2020, Zuchu was signed by WCB Wasafi, one of the biggest music labels in East Africa, and she released her debut EP, "I Am Zuchu," which features some of Tanzania's biggest musicians such as Diamond Platnumz, Mbosso, and Rayvanny. The EP received critical acclaim and introduced Zuchu to a wider audience.

Zuchu's music is a blend of Bongo Flava, Taarab, and other East African styles. She sings in Swahili, which is the most widely spoken language in East Africa, and her music often incorporates traditional Tanzanian sounds and instruments. Some of her most popular songs include "Sukari," "Tanzania Ya Sasa," and "Mauzauza."
Zuchu has won several awards for her music, including the Soundcity MVP Award for Best New Artist in Africa in 2021. She is considered one of the rising stars of East African music and has gained a loyal following both in Tanzania and internationally.
