- Registration for Fall Term Classes Begins on Monday, April 4 2022.
- Rutgers move-in day for First-Year and Transfer students is Thursday, September 1 2022 to Friday: September 2 2022. First-Year and Transfer Move-in 8:30 a.m.-12 noon; New Student Convocation at 4 p.m.
- Returning Student Move-in day is Saturday, September 3 2022 to Sunday, September 4 2022.
- Labor Day Holiday is Monday, September 5 2022 on the Rutgers academic calendar 2022-2023.
- Rutgers Fall Semester classes begin on Tuesday, September 6 2022.
- The last day to DROP a class(es) without a W grade is Thursday, September 15 2022. Check out Rutgers Canvas guide.
- Deadline to ADD a class(es) is Thursday, September 15 2022.
- Thursday, September 15 2022 is the deadline for completing Incomplete grades from Summer before being converted to “F” grade.
- Monday, September 19 2022 is the last day to Withdraw from All Courses for 100% Refund.
- Monday, October 31 2022, is the last day to WITHDRAW from all classes in order to receive tuition refund.
- The last day to Withdraw from an individual class with a “W” grade is Monday, November 8 2022.
- Monday, November 21 2022 is the last day to WITHDRAW from University (all classes with a “W” grade).
- Thanksgiving holiday is from Thursday, November 24 2022 to Sunday, November 27 2022.
- Regular classes end on Wednesday, December 14 2022.
- Reading Day is Thursday, December 15 2022.
- Final Exam Period is from Friday, December 16 2022 to Thursday, December 22 2022.
- Rutgers Winter break 2022 is from Saturday, December 24 2022 – Monday, January 2 2023. All University Offices Closed. No Classes.
Rutgers academic calendar winter 2023 important dates
- Registration for Winter Session begins on Monday, October 10, 2022.
- The last day for Winter Session Registration and bill payment without a late fee is on Monday, December 5, 2022.
- Late Registration for Winter Session begins on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, with a $125 late fee.
- The last day to DROP a Winter Class in order to receive a 100% refund; and the Last Day to ADD a class (Late Registration) is on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
- Winter Session begins on Friday, December 23 2022 (except Maths classes designated as 50:640).
- Diploma Application Period for May Graduation is from Monday, January 2 2023 to Wednesday, March 1 2023.
- Winter Classes resume after Winter break on Tuesday, January 3 2023.
- Wednesday, January 4 2023 is the deadline to WITHDRAW with 50% refund.
- Friday, January 6 2023 is the last day to Withdraw from a class with a W grade. Deadline 5:00 p.m.
- Snow Make-Up Days (if necessary) are Saturday, January 7 2023, and Saturday, January 14 2023 according to Rutgers academic calendar 2022-2023.
- Winter Session Ends on Friday, January 13, 2023.
- Winter grades are due from Instructors on Friday, January 20 2023.

- Diploma Application Period for May Graduation is Monday, January 2 2023 to Wednesday, March 1 2023.
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday is Monday, January 16 2023 on the Rutgers academic calendar 2022-2023.
- Diploma Conferral Date for January Graduates is Monday, January 16 2023.
- Spring 2023 Semester begins on Tuesday, January 17 2023.
- The last day to ADD a class is Thursday, January 26 2023.
- Thursday, January 26 2023 is the last day to DROP a class without a “W” grade.
- The last day to DROP ALL CLASSES and receive 100% refund is Monday, January 30 2023. Subject to change.
- Undergraduates deadline for completing Incomplete grades from Fall or Winter before being converted to “F” grade is Wednesday, February 1 2023 according to Rutgers academic calendar.
- Diploma Application Period for May Graduation ends on Wednesday, March 1 2023.
- Rutgers Spring break 2023 is from Saturday, March 11 2023 to Sunday, March 19 2023.
- Wednesday, March 22 2023 is the last day to withdraw from ALL classes in order to receive a tuition refund.
- The last day to WITHDRAW from a class with a W grade is Monday, April 3 2023 by 5:00 p.m
- Monday, April 17 2023 is the last day to WITHDRAW from the entire Spring term. The deadline is 5:00 p.m.
- Fall “TZ” and “NG” Grades are Automatically Converted to “F” after 5:00 p.m on Monday, May 1 2023.
- Spring 2023 Regular Classes end on Monday, May 1 2023.
- Reading Days are Tuesday, May 2 2023 & Wednesday, May 3 2023.
- Final Exam period is from Thursday, May 4 2023 to Wednesday, May 10 2023.
