K.O (born Ntokozo Mdluli) is a popular South African rapper, songwriter, and businessman. He first gained fame as a member of the hip hop group Teargas before embarking on a successful solo career.
K.O was born on October 13, 1980, in Soweto, Johannesburg. He formed Teargas with two childhood friends, Ma-E and Ntukza, in 1997, and the group released their first album, "K'shubile K'bovu," in 2006. Teargas went on to release several successful albums and won numerous awards, including the 2009 South African Music Award for Best Rap Album.
K.O released his debut solo album, "Skhanda Republic," in 2014. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it spawned several hit singles, including "Caracara" and "Mission Statement." K.O has since released several more successful albums and singles and has collaborated with other popular South African artists, such as Cassper Nyovest and AKA.
In addition to his music career, K.O is also a successful businessman. He is the founder of the Cashtime Life record label and has also launched a successful line of sneakers.
K.O is considered one of the pioneers of the Skhanda music genre, which blends kwaito, hip hop, and other South African musical styles. He is also known for his socially conscious lyrics and his commitment to promoting positive change in his community
