Academic year 2022–2023 at UTEP. There are three semesters per year—fall, spring, and summer—at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). The UTEP semesters last 15 weeks.

At UTEP, a full-time undergraduate student must have 12 credits or more, and a full-time graduate student must have 9 credits or more.

UTEP academic calendar fall 2022

1. Fall 2022 Registration Begins on March 28, 2022.
2. August 11, 2022 is the Last Day to Clear Students on Suspension/Probation as well as those with Insufficient Prerequisites.
3. Drops for Students with Unsatisfactory Academic Standing, Insufficient Prerequisites, and Prior Grades of C in the Course is on August 12, 2022.
4. Financial Aid is Disbursed on August 15, 2022.
5. UTEP Fall 2022 classes begin on August 22, 2022.
6. Late Registration (Fees incurred) is from August 22, 2022 to August 26, 2022.
7. Labor Day Holiday is September 5, 2022 – UTEP University is Closed.
8. UTEP Fall Census Day is September 7, 2022.
9. September 7, 2022 is the last day to register for classes.
10. Fall 2022 Payments are due by 5:00 pm on September 7, 2022.
11. The 20th Class Day is September 19, 2022, according to UTEP academic calendar 2022-2023.
12. UTEP Students who were given a payment deadline extension will be dropped at 5:00 pm on September 19, 2022 if payment arrangements have not been made.
13. The Graduation application deadline for degree conferral is September 30, 2022.
14. The fall Drop/Withdrawal Deadline is October 28, 2022.
15. Student-initiated drops are permitted after October 28, 2022, but the student is not guaranteed a grade of W. The faculty member of record will issue a grade of either W or F.
16. November 11, 2022 is the deadline to submit candidates’ names for degree conferral.
17. UTEP Thanksgiving break is from November 24 to November 25, 2022. University Closed.
18. Fall 2022 last day of classes is December 1, 2022.
19. UTEP Dead day is December 2, 2022.
20. Fall 2022 Final Exams are from December 5 to December 9, 2022.
21. UTEP Fall Commencement (graduation date) is on December 10, 2022 and December 11, 2022.
22. Fall 2022 Grades are Due on December 14, 2022.
23. Grades are posted to student records on December 15, 2022; UTEP students are notified of grades and academic standing
