The BRICS Youth Innovation Summit is an annual event that brings together young innovators and entrepreneurs from the five BRICS countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The summit aims to provide a platform for young people to share their ideas and innovations, as well as to connect and collaborate with each other on projects and initiatives that can drive economic and social development in the BRICS countries. The summit typically includes workshops, panel discussions, and networking events focused on topics such as entrepreneurship, technology, and sustainable development.

The Summit's goals

The goal of the BRICS Youth Innovation Summit is to establish a BRICS-focused environment that will empower and encourage young innovators and entrepreneurs who are already working on initiatives that have a positive influence on society. Promising young businesspeople, corporate executives, investors, partners, and specialists from the BRICS and the Global South can all gather at the summit.

For innovation project sub-themes:

Depending on the nature of their projects, young innovators with ideas in any of the following sub-theme areas will be qualified to apply to be delegates to the 2023 BRICS Youth Innovation Summit:

1. Youth Volunteerism – Projects in the non-profit sector that are contributing to increased voluntary citizen participation in communal, cultural or social development in the global South. 
2. • Green Economy– Projects that are contributing to accelerating a just transition to a greener and more environmentally friendly economy.
3. Agribusiness – Projects that are enhancing the capacity of global South nations to achieve and maintain sustainable food security.
4. Digitalisation – Projects that are contributing to mainstreaming digitalisation of services in a global South context.
5. Manufacturing – Projects that are contributing to industrialisation and value-added production in the global South nations.
6. Skills Development & EdTech – Projects that are contributing to closing the education gap and enhancing the quality of education at primary, secondary or tertiary levels in the global South.

The BRICS Youth Innovation Summit's goals are as follows:

1. 1. Establish a global platform for young businesspeople from the BRICS and the global South to promote and present their active ventures.
2. 2. Encourage the development of peer-to-peer networks among young entrepreneurs engaged in cutting-edge initiatives across related or related industries.
3. 3. Inform young businesspeople on the advantages offered by the BRICS and other South-South and multilateral forums.
4. 4. Assist new entrepreneurs in finding mentors from professionals and business leaders to improve their work.
5. Provide a platform for investors and businesses from BRICS and the global South to partner with young entrepreneurs and invest in promising innovations
