How to log into moodle uiuc

This login is for instructors and students with an Illinois email address (e.g., …@illinois.edu). Your NetID is the part of your email address before the @.

To log into uiuc moodle. 
  1. Go to learn.illinois.edu.
  2. Click NetID Login.
  3. In the pop-up window, choose your university.University of Illinois at Chicago
  4. University of Illinois at Springfield
  5. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  6. Click Select.
  7. Enter your NetID and password.
  8. Click Login.

How to install the moodle mobile app for iPhone

Follow the steps below to learn how to get the Moodle mobile app installed and up and running. It is a matter of a few quick steps.
  1. Search for Moodle in the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Click GET to download.
  3. Click the Install button.
  4. Once installed, click OPEN.
  5. Enter UIUC’s Moodle URL learn.illinois.edu into the text box, then click Connect!.
  6. The app will prompt you to log in to the site in a browser window. Click OK.
  7. If you have a Net ID, log in by clicking the orange NetID Login (default) button.
  8. If you are a guest or don’t have have a University of Illinois (UIUC, UIC, UIS) email account, scroll down and click the turquoise Moodle-Only Login button.
  9. After logging in, you will be asked if you’d like to open the page in “Moodle”. Click Open.
  10. You will now be directed back to the Moodle app where you will have access to your Moodle UIUC course(s).

How to install the moodle mobile app for android

Here is how to get the Moodle mobile app installed and up and running for an Android device.Search for Moodle in Google Play. 
  1. Select the “Moodle” app with the icon you see below.
  2. Click Install to download.
  3. Once installed, click OPEN.
  4. Enter learn.illinois.edu into the text box and click CONNECT!.
  5. The app will prompt you to log in to the site in a browser window. Click OK.
  6. If you have a NetID, log in by clicking the orange NetID Login (default) button.
  7. If you don’t have have a University of Illinois (UIUC, UIC, UIS) email account, scroll down and click the turquoise Moodle-Only Login button.
  8. You will now be directed back to the Moodle app where you will have access to your Moodle UIUC course(s).

How to change and reset your moodle uiuc password

You can reset your forgotten Moodle-Only password or change your Moodle-Only password directly in Moodle UIUC.

If you forgot your moodle-only password

  • If you forgot your Moodle-Only password, you could change it through the Learn@Illinois Moodle website. Go to https://learn.illinois.edu/
  • Click the blue Moodle-Only Login button.
  • Click on Forgot your username or password?
  • Enter your username or email and click Search.
  • You will see the message below informing you that you will receive an email if you supplied a correct username or email address. Click Continue.

If you want to change your moodle-only password

  • You can change your password through the Learn@Illinois Moodle website. Go to https://learn.illinois.edu/
  • Log in using your previous password.
  • In the upper right corner of your course homepage, click on your name to open a drop-down menu.
  • Click Preferences.
  • Click Change password.
  • You will need to enter your current password and your new password twice. Click Save changes.
