Nandy career came to light after a friend introduced him to Ruge Mutahaba, Chief Executive Officer of Tanzania House of Talent (THT). It was here that he met Ema the Boy, who was the one who came to prepare him for his famous album Nagusagusa .
In early 2016 he participated in a singing competition organized by Tecno . The competition featured other participants from major African countries and during the finals held in Lagos, Nigeria , Nandy emerged as the second winner. The competition raised him musically, especially in the whole field of entertainment, he gained valuable knowledge from music heroes such as , Yemi Alade and Bien of Sauti Sol .
